about

I’m a proud Midwesterner, born in Minnesota and raised in Illinois, where I spent my time playing in bands and hitting up local shows. After a short stint at a big state school, I found my way to Columbia College Chicago and earned a degree in Audio Arts and Acoustics with a focus on Audio Design and Production.

Since then, I’ve worn a lot of hats—working in music retail, managing a commercial studio in San Diego, engineering in Los Angeles at spots like The Rattle Room, Conway Recording, and United Recording, and running broadcast audio out of a barn at Pickathon. I also dived into audio archiving before heading to Portland to build effects pedals at Catalinbread.

I’ve spent nearly a decade in audio and live production, working with artists like Phantom Planet, Ashnikko, Amanda Palmer, The Black Angels, Cafuné, and Barns Courtney. These days, I’m the Events + Facilities Manager at Rose City Rollers and a house monitor tech at Wonder Ballroom, all while dabbling in music production for licensing and sync placement.

At the end of the day, whether it’s recording or tour management, this is a customer service industry. The most important thing to me is providing a service that makes the client happy and comfortable. this is the core of what my work in this industry is all about. I pride myself on my ability to get the job efficiently while treating others with respect and, dare I say, having a little bit of fun in the process. No one wants to work with a jerk.

These days when I’m not behind a console or running a roller derby bout, you can find me playing with my rescue Chihuahua Krumm, day dreaming about my next D&D campaign session or doing something outside in the fresh air.
